The Meursault Investigation (Meursault, contre-enquête), by Kamel Daoud (novel)) is the first novel by Algerian writer and journalist Kamel Daoud, published in France in 2014, a thrilling retelling of Albert Camus’s 1942 classic, The Stranger, from a different perspective.


 


The Stranger, a classic novel by Albert Camus, published in 1942, the central character in the novel, is Monsieur Meursault, a young Frenchman, uninterested in life, detached, and emotionless.
